From the Chief Executive
Dear Candidate,
Firstly, thank you for taking an interest in the vacant Director’s post with the authority. If successful, you will be joining myself and two other Directors strongly committed to improvement and to making a difference to the people of Bassetlaw.
As a Corporate Management Team we have made substantial progress both within the authority itself and the community at large putting customers at the heart of what we do.
The authority has good relationships with its partners and has worked effectively to contribute already significantly to economic regeneration of the District, although there are plenty of opportunities to do more.
It’s a challenging but enjoyable environment with good elected member relationships who have been supportive to the change management programme at the authority.
The ambitions for the authority are very much embraced by our Corporate Plan, aptly titled ‘Moving up a Gear’ which emphasises our aim to secure the best quality of life for everyone in Bassetlaw with priorities for the District and its residents of Clean and Green, Safe and Strong and Jobs and Enterprise as well as the overarching principle of being Efficient and Effective.
